What Is Dysport®?
Dysport® is a type of botulinum toxin A that is used for temporary reduction of glabellar lines (vertical frown lines between the eyebrows). It is a non-invasive treatment that temporarily weakens the muscles under the skin. Dysport® is used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and has been approved for injection of glabellar lines only.

How Does Dysport® Work?
Wrinkles form because we use the muscles in our face to smile, frown, or chew many times throughout the day. This can cause furrows, wrinkles, and fine lines to appear in our skin. Dysport® is a non-surgical treatment to smooth wrinkles and frown lines by weakening or temporarily paralyzing the muscles or blocking the nerves on the forehead.
Dysport® is a form of botulinum toxin A and acts to prevent the release of neurotransmitters that allow the muscles to contract, thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles*. Does the Dysport® Injection Hurt?
The vast majority of patients say that the pain is minimal and lasts only for a minute or two during the injection. The needle used is very small, which reduces injection pain. The procedure does not cause significant pain or discomfort.*

What Can I Expect After the Dysport® Treatment?
There may be redness and slight swelling at the injection site immediately after the procedure. You will see results within 24 to 48 hours.* Results typically last up to four months and can be repeated as desired.* You can resume your normal activities and exercise within two hours after the injection.* Avoid rubbing the injection site. Side effects are usually mild if they occur.*
